On offer here is a fine replica tablet featuring a cuneiform inscription from the time of King Gudea who ruled the state of Lagash in southern mesopotamia.
Many such inscriptions speak of temples constructed or restored during his time, for he was an individual who ushered in many reforms in both architecture and civil laws.
Allowing women to own family land was one such progressive thought brought to the ancient consciousness over 4000 years ago.
Made of a limestone and quartzite composition stone, it has an aged patina.
