On offer here is a version of my 2014 eye which is based upon one of the more complex depictions of the protective eye of Horus to have survived antiquity. Carefully drilled it has a bronze ring added to allow for a hanging option.
Design details
Instead of the familiar wedge and spiral seen on most eye of Horus amulets, these components are replaced by a wing and leg of the Horus falcon. In front of the leg a cobra uraeus can be seen with a small sun disc directly placed upon his head. The cobra is yet another symbol of protection making this amulet twice as powerful.
In addition you will see a small human eye in between the tip of the wing and the claw. This is a rare occurance and really communicates that this amulet was designed to protect not only the physical body of the owner, but to offer clarity of vision and mastery over obstacles in life and in death.
Made of a limestone and quartzite composition stone, the piece has a fully painted Egyptian colour scheme with all details carefully aged and has been given a light polish.
