Background information - This is a beautiful representation of the god Hermes of ancient Greek mythology. Known alternatively as Mercury when adopted into the Roman pantheon. The planet Mercury which travels around the sun most quickly of all, was named after the swift winged messenger.
Made of a limestone and quartzite composition stone used for fine museum reproductions, It has been aged with a well developed ancient ochre patina with a light polish. I have drilled a hole on an angle on the back which will easily slide on to a small hook or nail for a wall feature display.
You may wish to display on a plate stand as another option.
