Available here is a fine Sumerian tablet replica from the city of Shuruppak known to the Sumerians as 'the healing place'. This is a notable and rather famous tablet that is a record of a property sale. The text describes the sale of a house that includes a 'virile man servant. It was a large house of approximately 54 square meters and this transaction included two witnesses mentioned in the text.
It is also regarded as an important example of the early form of the evolving cuneiform writing imprinted on the tablet. Cuneiform would soon be far more complex with hundreds more characters in use to describe the world of all the Mesopotamian cultures.
Made of a limestone and quartzite composition stone, it has an aged ochre patina.
