Originally belonging to Queen Puabi this is an exact replica impression of the seal that was found on her very body when her tomb was discovered.
Divided into two scenes, the seated Queen Puabi partakes in a banquet attended to by males brandishing offering bowls or cups. Tables and flasks are also present in a scene that offers a glimpse of royal life in ancient Sumer. As close to a photograph of ancient life as was possible around 2600 B.C.E.
