This stunning trio of lion heads represent European types found on many a doorway arch and window ledge or furniture detail. The larger of the trio is Venetian in style and the expressive and confident modelling are the hall marks of this example.
The smaller version is Medieval in design displaying fine, exaggerated features that mirror the gargoyles that were also created during this time.
The smallest is a neo-classical style amulet that could have been used in furniture details or wall details.
A carefully drilled hole is set at an angle to take a small hook or slide directly onto a nail. Made of Temstone which is a limestone / quartzite composition stone used for fine museum reproductions, they have a variety of aged patinas.
Included is an atmospheric collector card replica from the early 20th century.
