On offer here is an exclusive replica of one of my old carvings and it is a nicely detailed, earthy Aztec amulet. Attached to a necklace of wood and bone beads it will be sure to provoke a question or two as it may look as if you have been looting a jungle tomb.
It is in a more stylized rendering typical of Aztec and Mayan art. A feather headdress, wide eyes and fierce teeth are a representation of a deity. The design is based on a small engraving found in the Toluca cave region and is most likely a representation of an Earth mother also known as the cave goddess.
* An atmospheric replica collector card has been included with this necklace that features the romance of early discovery in the Mayan / Aztec realms.
I have a great deal of admiration for the cultures of the ancient Americas and I created this amulet to enjoy and experience the creation of a different style to the majority of Egyptian work that dominates my realm. It looks quite realistic in an aged ochre coloration and is not too heavy to wear.
